Makes provision for maternity, paternity and parental leave. Part II regulates overall responsibility for implementation, and establishes parental leave fund and parental leave complaints board. Section III provides for right to and duration of maternity/paternity leave. Leave may be claimed on the occasion of birth, primary adoption of a child under the age of eight, and permanent foster care of a child under the age of eight. Parents shall each have an independent right to maternity/paternity leave of up to three months, with possible extension. Also regulates notification of maternity/paternity leave, safety and health in the work place, right to maternity and paternity leave in the event of stillbirth and miscarriage, parents' rights to payments from maternity/paternity leave fund, accumulation and protection of rights, and applications to social security institute. Part V deals with exceptional circumstances such as multiple births and illness of a child and its mother. Section VI provides for maternity/paternity grants to parents who are not active in the labour market or who are attending full-time educational programmes. Section VII deals with parental leave, and Section VIII contains common provisions. Date uncertain.
