Resumen/cita: Provides for fundamental principles of labour legislation. Contains provisions relating to the banning of discrimination at work and of forced labour, labour relations, social partnership (collective negotiations and agreements), labour contract, hours of work, rest and leave, wages, guarantees and compensations to workers, discipline, vocational training, occupational safety and health. Contains special provisions by category of persons: inter alia, women and persons with family responsibilities, young workers less than 18, seasonal workers, teachers, transport workers, migrant workers. Also deals with protection of workers' labour rights, settlement of labour disputes and liability for breach of labour legislation. Repeals Act No. 69-FZ of 6 May 1998, Labour Code of 1971, Act No. 3543 of 25 September 1992, Act No. 59-FZ of 17 March 1997, Act No. 84-FZ of 30 April 1999, Act No. 14-FZ of 15 February 1995, Act No. 2-FZ of 18 January 2001, Act No. 139-FZ of 31 July 1998, Act No. 131-FZ of 24 November 1996 and Act No. 182-FZ of 24 November 1996.
