Resumen/cita: Amends the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (LS 1967 - USA 1) to remove the maximum age limitation which was applicable to employees protected under the 1967 Act. There are exceptions regarding the compulsory retirement of firefighters and law enforcement officers, and special provisions govern the retirement of tenured faculty at institutions of higher education. Effective date 1 Jan. 1987, with later entry into force for persons covered by a collective bargaining agreement containing a provision which would be supersed by this Act (section 7).
