| Abstract/Citation: | This Order applies to all private placement agencies in the Capital Territory of Delhi providing domestic workers in the Territory. Agencies are obliged to register with the competent authority providing the details of the agency, the number of domestic workers employed by the agency, as well as details of their salaries, addresses, work requirements, period of employment and commissions received by the employers. Domestic workers are to be issued a Passbook which includes details of the employment contract, salary etc. Provides that all employment agreements between Agencies and domestic workers are to be in writing. The Delhi Commission for Women and the Child Welfare Committee is to receive information from the Department of Labour and is to supervise the implementation of the above provisions. The Order also includes penalties in case of non-compliance with the Order. |
