Second Region

Provides that no child under the age of 12 years old be employed unless for the parent or guardian for light horticultural, agricultural or domestic work and for children under the age of 14 years, not before 6am or after 8pm on any day, for more than 2 hours on any school day or for more than 2 hours on a Sunday. Lifting or carrying anything that could cause them injury is prohibited as is employment in any occupation likely to cause them injury to life, limb, health or education.
The Act also provides that the Government can make regulations concerning further prohibitions or restrictions.
