| Abstract/Citation: | The law is aimed at the State's obligation to assist those living in poverty as is set out in the Constitution. This Law consolidates the provisions that deal with poverty in other laws and sets out measures to improve the situation of those living in poverty. The Law Contains 9 chapters: Chapter I - General Provisions Chapter II - Rights and Responsibilities Chapter III - The Handling of the Poor and Needy Chapter IV - Task and Authority Chapter V - Resources Chapter VI - Coordination and Supervision Chapter VII - Public Participation Chapter VIII - Criminal Provisions Chapter IX - Conclusion Upon entry into force of this law, other Laws dealing with poverty remain valid unless they contradict this Law. |
