Abstract/Citation: Following the establishment of the People's Republic of Bangladesh in 1971 and the dissolution of East Pakistan, the Order was adopted to provide that all laws in force before the 26 March 1971 are to remain in force in Bangladesh until amended or repealed by the competent legislative body.
