Abstract/Citation: Implements the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, signed in London on the 10th of June 1948. Amends the provisions of the Merchant Shipping Acts 1894-1947 relating to the construction of passenger steamers, life-saving appliances, wireless and radio navigational aids. Makes provision for the charging of fees.
