Abstract/Citation: Amends the Employment Ordinance by, inter alia, inserting Part VA entitled "Sex Discrimination". Section 52A(1) provides that, for the purposes of certain provisions of the Ordinance," the principle of equal treatment means that there shall be no discrimination whatsovever on grounds of sex either directly or indirectly by reference in particular to marital or family status." Section 52B(1) provides: "Application of the principle of equal treatment means that there shall be no discrimination whatsoever on grounds of sex in the conditions, including selection criteria, for access to all jobs or posts, whatever the sector or branch or activity, and to all levels of the occupational hierarchy." Section 52C provides for the application of the principle of equal pay for equal value, and by, s. 52D, laws, regulations and administrative provisions contrary to the principle of equal treatment or the principle of equal pay, cease to have effect. Section 52E provides for the competence of the Industrial Tribunal to consider complaints and to provide remedies.
