Abstract/Citation: Defines employers' duties concerning prevention and protection against explosion. Sets out guidelines for evaluation of risks of explosions. Also defines duties of employers to coordinate protective measures with other persons who are not employees but independent contractors.
Incorporates into Slovak legal system the Directive of European Parliament and of Council 1999/92/ES of 16 December 1999. Annex 1 categorizes spaces with explosive environments. Annex 2 lists in details the minimum requirements for assuring the safety and health of persons working in explosive environments as well as the requirement for choice of protective systems and devices. Annex 4 specifies particular measures to be taken in spaces at risk of explosions.
