Abstract/Citation: This Law is composed of 5 Parts divided into 429 articles. Part I deals with ships in particular: general provisions; registration and documents of ships; control and inspection on ships; real rights on ships; ship construction; joint property; concession of rights on ships; marine mortgage; precautionary sequestration; and executive sequestration. Part II provides for marine navigation staff especially: owner and supplier of equipment; captain; crews and marine work regulation; marine work contracts; marine contractors and legal representatives of ships; legal representatives of cargos; and marine contractors. Ship exploitation is given in Part III. General provisions are contained in Parts IV and V.
