| Abstract/Citation: | Makes amendments to the Protection of the Sea (Imposition of Contributions to Oil Pollution Compensation Fund-Customs) Act 1993, the Protection of the Sea (Imposition of Contributions to Oil Pollution Compensation Fund-Excise) Act 1993 and the Protection of the Sea (Imposition of Contributions to Oil Pollution Compensation Fund-General) Act 1993, in order to implement the Protocol of 2003 to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1992. Also makes consequential amendments to the Navigation Act 1912, and the Protection of the Sea (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act 1983, the Marine Navigation Levy collection Act 1989, the Marine Navigation (Regulatory Functions) Levy Collection Act 1991, the Protection of the Sea (Shipping Levy Collection) Act 1981 and the Protection of the Sea (Oil Pollution Compensation Fund) Act 1993. |
