Second Region

Defines a child as any person under the age of 18 years. Provides that no child is to be employed in any work if he is under the age of 13 years and that no child under the age of 15 years may be employed in work other than light work. It lists the occupations where it is prohibited to employ children. Contains provisions on the hours of work, rest and breaks, registers of employment and offences. Repeals the Children and Young Persons (Restriction on Employment) (Modification) Act 1980, the Education (Work Experience) Act 1974 and the Employment of Children Byelaws 1980.
