Abstract/Citation: Distinguishes Kampala as the capital city of Uganda. Provides that Swahili is to be the second official language. Provides for the leader of opposition under the multi-party political system. Removes the limits on the tenure of office of the President. Creates the offices of Prime Minister and Deputy Attorney General. Provides for the independence of the Auditor General and procedure for his or her removal. Provides for the creation and functions of special courts to handle offences relating to corruption. Establishes and prescribes the function of a Leadership Code Tribunal. Provides for the control of minerals and petroleum. Provides for the holding of referenda generally.
