Abstract/Citation: |
Revokes the 1976 Regulations of the same name which provide for fire precautions to be taken in certain premises which do not require a fire certificate under the Fire Precautions Act 1971. From the date of revocation, the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 (Commencement No. 5) Order 1989 brings into force provisions amending the Fire Precautions Act 1971, including a new section 9A of that Act which imposes a general statutory duty to provide all premises which are exempt from the requirement for a fire certificate with adequate means of escape in case of fire and means of fighting fire. |
