Abstract/Citation: The Act provides for the establishment of the Industrial Development Authority, which is responsible for issuing manufacturing licences, reviewing policy on industrial development, inspecting industrial enterprises to ensure compliance with labour laws, and collecting information and data required to monitor industrial development. Under this Act, regulations may be made to limit licensing to carry on certain enterprises to citizens of Botswana or companies wholly owned by them. Repeals the Industrial Development Act (Cap. 43:01).
