Abstract/Citation
Made under the Factories Ordinance (Cap 112) which was later repealed and implementing the Employment Safety Act (No. 3 of 1982). Comprehensive legislation establishing the basic rules for workplace safety and health in factories. Deals, inter alia, with overcrowding, lighting, draining, ventilation, cleaning, supply of drinking water, first aid treatment, the provision of sanitary facilites for workers, protection of the eyes, fencing of certain machines, cleaning of machines, means of escape in case of fire, and rules concerning steam boilers and lifting machines.
