| Abstract/Citation: | Comprehensive legislation on occupational safety and health. Divided into 15 parts. Part 1 (s. 1-5) contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 (s. 6-13) sets forth general duties of employers and employees. Part 3 (s. 14-21) establishes rights of employees to refuse work where safety or health is in danger. Part 4 (s. 22-25) contains provisions regarding safety. Part 5 (s. 26-30) deals with fire, Part 6 (s. 31-38) with health, Part 7 (s. 39-45) with welfare, and Part 8 (s. 46-52) with notification and investigation of accidents and industrial diseases. Part 9 (s. 53-56) regulates employment of young persons. Part 10 (s. 57-58) deals with application of Act. Part 11 (s. 59-63) contains special provisions regarding factories, building operations and works of engineering construction. Part 12 (s. 64-68) establishes Occupational Safety and Health Authority. Part 13 (s. 69-82) deals with administration; Part 14 (s. 82-97) with offences. Part 15 (s. 98-100) contains miscellaneous provisions.
