Comprehensive legislation dealing with various aspects of family law. Made under Family Law Act 1975. Comprises 25 chapters. Chapter 1 contains preliminary provisions. Chapter 2 regulates starting a case. Chapter 3 deals with divorce. Chapter 4 regulates application for final orders; Chapter 5 application in a case. Chapter 6 deals with parties, Chapter 7 with service, Chapter 8 with right to be heard and address for service, Chapter 9 with response and reply, Chapter 10 with ending a case without trial, Chapter 11 with case management, and Chapter 12 with court events. Chapter 13 regulates disclosure, Chapter 14 property orders, Chapter 15 evidence, Chapter 16 trial, Chapter 17 orders, Chapter 18 powers of judicial registrars, Chapter 19 costs, and Chapter 20 enforcement of financial orders and obligations. Chapter 21 deals with enforcement of parenting orders, Chapter 22 with appeals, Chapter 23 with registration of documents, Chapter 24 with documents filing and registry, and Chapter 25 with applications under the Corporations Act 2001. Repeals Family Law Rules 1984. |
