Abstract/Citation: Comprehensive legislation on organisation, function and discipline of Zambia Police Force. Divided into 12 parts. Part 1 (s. 1-2) contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 (s. 3-6) deals with composition and administration of Police Force. Part 3 (s. 7-12) provides for attestation, service and discharge. Part 4 (s. 13-25) regulates powers, duties and privileges of police officers. Part 5 (s. 26-28) provides for offence by police officers triable by criminal courts. Part 6 (s. 26-41) makes provision for discipline. Part 7 (s. 42-45) regulates disposal of unclaimed property. Part 8 (s. 46-47) deals with employment of police officers on special duty. Part 9 (s. 48-56) provides for special constables. Part 10 (s. 57) deals with pensions and gratuities; Part 11 (s. 58-61) with general offences. Part 12 (s. 62-64) contains miscellaneous provisions.
