Second Region

Amends the principal Act of 1983 by providing, inter alia, for compulsory arbitration and agreement not to strike or lock out (ss. 39ZA and 39ZB). States that except as otherwise provided, the Labour Relations Act 1987 (LS 1987 - NZ 1) shall apply to area health boards (s. 39X).
