Abstract/Citation
Comprehensive legislation on registration of cooperatives and related matters. Divided into 15 parts. Part 1 contains preliminary provisions. Part 2 provides for definition and objectives of cooperative, and cooperative principles. Part 3 deals with appointment, qualification and functions of commissioner. Part 4 regulates formation and registration of cooperatives. Part 5 provides for rights and duties of cooperatives; Part 6 for rights and duties of members. Part 7 deals with apex organisations and national cooperative federation, and Part 8 with cooperative advisory board of Swaziland. Part 9 regulates organisation and management of cooperative; Part 10 audit and inquiry. Part 11 provides for amalgamation, transfer, division and conversion of cooperatives, Part 12 for property and funds of cooperative, and Part 13 for settlement of disputes. Part 14 deals with dissolution and liquidation of cooperatives, and Part 15 contains miscellaneous provisions.
