Abstract/Citation: Made under Employment Rights Act 1996. Provides for new rights to paternity and adoption leave in the case of adoption from overseas. Applies Paternity and Adoption Leave Regulations 2002 to overseas adoptions, with some modifications regarding entitlement to leave. Overseas adoption is adoption of child who enters Great Britain from outside UK in connection with or for purposes of adoption, which does not involve placement of child for adoption under law of any part of the UK.
