Abstract/Citation
Regulates modalities of issue of seafarer's identity document. Document certifies identity of seafarer. It shall mention name and flag of the ship, seafarer's function, position, and level of qualification. It shall also contain medical certificate issued by health institution. Document may be issued to person who (a) is trained as a seafarer and serves on a Lithuanian ship, (b) is trained as a seafarer and serves on a ship registered abroad, (c) is pursuing an education at a maritime institution, (d) works for a maritime organisation and is obliged to temporarily serve on board a ship of that organisation, (d) belongs to the general service, or (e) belongs to crew of internal navigation.
