Abstract/Citation: Applies to all civil servants and candidates for civil service positions who have committed a disciplinary violation in the Republic of Latvia or in a foreign country as prescribed by these Regulations. Makes provision for disciplinary violation, victims, unlawful action and guilt, damage and harm to State civil service, kinds of disciplinary punishment, initiation of disciplinary hearings, investigation of disciplinary matters and imposition of punishment, suspension, application of disciplinary punishment, recording of disciplinary punishment, appeal against disciplinary punishment, victim's right to appeal, dismissal of disciplinary matters, neglect of duty, exceedance of authority, loss and damage of property, violation of confidentiality, insufficient organisation of subordinate's work, indecent and undignified behaviour, malpractice, acceptance of tangible benefits, illegal imposition of payments, illegal exemption from payments, unauthorised participation in decision-making, unsanctioned work, unsanctioned political activity, impolite and intolerant attitude, application of physical force, failure to give information, and bureaucratic attitude towards visitors and colleagues.
