Abstract/Citation
Part 1 deals with duties in relation to all mines and tunnels. Makes provision for, inter alia, accident notification, establishment of plans of mines and tunnels, operations records, examinations of mines and tunnels, visits to solitary employees, testing for flammable gas and withdrawal of employees when high levels of flammable gas are present, provision of self-rescue units and outlets for working, protection against inundation, air quality and temperature, and handling of explosives. Part 2 makes provision for duties in relation to coal mines and gas mines, and Part 3 for duties in relation to use of electricity in operations.
