Abstract/Citation
Amends and consolidates the law relating to trade unions and trade disputes. Establishes the legality of trade unions. Creates a registrar of trade unions and prohibits unions from carrying out business unless registered. Makes registration compulsory. Makes explicit the information required when applying for trade union registration. Establishes the grounds on which registration may be refused. Provides for cancellation of registration. Regulates trade union accounts and provides for audits. Governs the rules of registered unions and regulates the alteration of those rules. Makes trade unions immune from actions of tort. Provides for peaceful picketing and the prevention of intimidation.
