| Abstract/Citation: | Amends and supplements the Immigration Act 1971 and the Asylum and Immigration Appeals Act 1993. Makes further provisions with respect to persons subject to immigration control. Provides for asylum claims and sets claim procedures. Places restrictions on the employment of persons subject to immigration control. Prohibits the employment of persons who have not been granted leave to enter and remain in the United Kingdom. Sets penalties for offences. Establishes the conditions under which a person subject to immigration control may be entitled to housing benefits, child benefits and other social security benefits. |
