Abstract/Citation: Restates and improves the law relating to arbitration pursuant to an arbitration agreement. Makes other provisions relating to arbitration and arbitration awards and for related purposes. Part One governs arbitration pusuant to an arbitration agreement. Sets requirements for arbitration agreements. Governs legal proceedings, arbitration tribunals and the jurisdiction of tribunals. Establishes the powers of the court. Governs awards, costs of proceedings and makes miscellaneous and supplementary provisions. Part Two makes other provisions relating to arbitration. These govern domestic, consumer, small claims and statutory arbitrations. Regulates the appointment of judges as arbitrators. Part Three provides for the recognition and enforcement of certain foreign awards. Regulates the enforcement of the Geneva Convention Awards and the New York Convention Awards. Part Four makes general provisions.
