Abstract/Citation: Amends the Employment Act 1995. Inter alia, requires employers to notify the Employment Services Bureau of vacancies in their enterprise, and prohibits the employment of Seychellois without job cards. A new section 50 provides that where there is a change of ownership in a business, the employer shall be deemed to have terminated the employment contract of a worker. Such termination shall not be considered as attributal to the worker, who shall receive any due compensation. Further amendments provide for drug testing (s. 53A) and compensation to workers upon resignation or retirement.
