Abstract/Citation: | Establishes the regulations for insurance claims and payments. Part One sets out the provisions on insurance claims. Its makes explicit the requirements for claims by specifying the information to be given when making a claim for a benefit. Includes provisions on the date of the claim, late claims, and provides the claim forms. Part Two deals with payments. It specifies the time and manner of the payment of benefits. It provides rules on payable instruments (drafts, vouchers, cheques or pension orders), extinguished benefits, and information to be given when obtaining payment of a benefit. Part Three makes miscellaneous regulations. These include payment on death, rules for breaches of regulations and for persons unable to act in order to receive a payment. This part also revokes the National Insurance and Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations, 1967. |
