Abstract/Citation: Women in Tibet shall enjoy rights in accordance with the PRC Law for Safeguarding Women's Rights and Interests. Forbids discrimination against women, grants women equal political and property rights as men, and provides protection from discrimination in employment. Also prohibits certain traditional practices (mutilation, kidnapping), prostitution, and procuring women for pornography. S. 42 prohibits interference with a woman's pregnancy.
