Abstract/Citation: Removes and replaces provisions providing maternity leave. Maternity leave shall be a period of 10 weeks, with a further 4 weeks in case of illness or disability due to confinement. Female employees are required to give notice of pregnancy. A female employee may not be dismissed during pregnancy and during maternity leave, and shall not be required to do heavy or dangerous work if a medical certificate testifies to her unfitness to perform such work.
