| Abstract/Citation: | Provides for the creation of a Consumer Protection Board and the post of a Director of Consumer Protection, both which shall promote consumer education and information, formulate relevant legislation, create means of consumer arbitration, and investigate cases of offences. Section 8 prohibits false advertisement; s. 11 requires producers of goods to ensure reasonable standards of quality and warn consumers of possible risk or hazards associated with a product's use. |
