Second Region

Refugees who have been accepted as such in the Netherlands, asylum seekers who are recognized as such and persons holding conditional residency permits ("vvtv") are provided here with guarantees for assistance under the National Assistance Act ("ABW"). This decree concerns in particular foreign individuals over the age of 65 who reside in the Netherlands, but who may also wish to travel abroad and remain eligible for social security under the National Assistance Act. This decree will forthwith be referred to as the Instructions Decree ("Aanwijzingsbesluit"). The Instructions Decree was first established in Stb.66, 1996.
