Consists of 47 sections subdivided in 9 chapters with the following headings: Ch. 1, Scope of application; Ch. 2, Time comprised in working time; Ch. 3, Ordinary hours of work; Ch. 4, Exceeding ordinary hours of work; Ch. 5, Night and shift work; Ch. 6, Rest periods and work on Sundays; Ch. 7, Log of working time; Ch. 8, Special provisions; Ch. 9, Entry into force and transitional provisions. Repeals the Hours of Work Act (No. 604 of 1946), the Shops and Offices Hours of Work Act (No. 400 of 1978), the Act (No. 184 of 1970) respecting hours of work for foremen, the Act (No. 407 of 1989) respecting hours of work in agriculture, and the Act (No. 302 of 1961) respecting hours of work in bakeries.
