Alternating leave is a leave period granted to an employee for a fixed period of time (minimum 90 and maximum 359 days), during which the employer undertakes to hire an unemployed person registered with an employment agency. The employee on leave is entitled to alternating leave benefits amounting to 70 percent of the unemployment benefit to which he/she would be entitled if unemployed. Regulates the conditions for obtaining leave, the calculation of benefits, reinstatement of the employee and related matters.
