Exempted from this basic regulation are some shops such as pharmacies, shops in airports, train and gas stations and bakeries. Employees working in enterprises exempted from the legal closing hours must not work more than eight hours on Sundays and statutory holidays, and the employer is obligated to compensate them with a free afternoon during the following working week if they work for more than three hours, and a completely free day, if they work for more than six hours. |
