Abstract/Citation: Provides regulations relating to the safe operation of machinery in factories, including hoists and lifts. Young persons and women shall not be permitted to clean and oil machinery if doing so exposes them to moving parts (s. 8). Part II regulates the construction and maintenance of floors, passages and stairs. Part V regulates work performed in conjunction with dangerous fumes. Made under Factories Act 1947.
