| Abstract/Citation: | Repeals and re-enacts a revised version of the Merchant Shipping Act (Chapter 179 of 1985 revised edition). Regulates registration of ships, investigations of violations of Act, delivery of goods, liability of shipowners, and legal proceedings. Part IV contains regulations relating to crew matters, including provision of medical treatment, pay, and disciplinary measures. Part V provides regulations concerning the safety of ships. |
