Abstract/Citation: All recruitment of workers, domestically or overseas, is regulated. Public recruitment entities must have an approval (SPP) by the appropriate ministry and private entities must have a license (SIUP-PJTKI). The regulations prescribe the procedure to obtain a SPP and a SIUP-PJTKI. A private entity seeking a SIUP-PJTKI must have a paid up capital of 375,000,000 rupiahs for a general recruitment license and 200,000,000 rupiahs for a domestic recruitment license. The approved and licensed entities are entitled, inter alia, to collect charges both from potential employers and workers, and are required, inter alia, to provide potential workers with certain vocational training at specifically designated Job Training Insitutes.
