Brings Part IV of the Social Welfare Act, 1994 into effect from 28 October, 1994. Part IV provides for the introduction of a new survivor's pension under which widowers will become entitled to a pension on the basis of the existing conditions applied in determining entitlement to Widow's (Contributory) Pension.
