Abstract/Citation: Formulated to guarantee the health of mothers and infants and to improve the quality of births. Provides that medical and health care organizations should offer premarital care services to citizens (a premarital medical checkup should include examinations for serious hereditary diseases, contagious diseases and relevant mental disorders). When a couple registers their marriage, they should present certificates of premarital medical checkups. Contains provisions on medical and health care services relevant to child-bearing, pregnant and lying-in women during their gestation and lying-in periods. Also provisions on technical certification and administration.
