Abstract/Citation: Provides that rural district councils shall as of a specified day employ their employees under their usual conditions of employment for a further year. Within 6 months of the specified day, the councils are to rationalize the structure of their staff. When recruiting new staff, the councils shall first offer jobs to employees referred to in section 3 who are qualified to do the job under conditions of employment not less favourable than those that they enjoyed before the specified day.
