Second Region

This Act sets out the formalities, and establishes the conditions for and exceptions to the right of Commonwealth citizens to immigrate to Jamaica and imposes sanctions for offences against the Act. Attached to, and part of the Act, is a "Schedule" containing regulations to the Act. For immigration purposes, the Act defines the concepts Commonwealth citizen, prohibited and not prohibited immigrant, and visitor. It grants leave for certain sick persons to remain on the Island. This Act establishes a Tribunal to review certain removal orders.
