Abstract/Citation: The Social Security (Jersey and Guernsey) Order 1992 of 15 July 1992 makes provisions for modification of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 and the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 so as to give effect in England, Wales and Scotland to the provisions contained in the exchange of letters. The effect is to amend the agreement set out in the schedule to the Social Security (Jersey and Guernsey) Order 1978 by amending articles 1 and 23 in relation to attendance benefit to take account of the introduction in the Disability Living Allowance and Disability Working Allowance Act 1991 (ISN 22571) of disability living allowance, and to include attendance benefit in respect of Guernsey, by amending article 17 to provide for a person's contributions to be deemed to include those of a spouse or a former spouse to the extent allowed in the applicable legislation and by amending article 21 to set out the method of payment for old age or widow's benefit.
