Reflects section 5102 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1990, which amended section 223(g) of the Social Security Act so that a disabled beneficiary may elect to have his or her disability insurance benefits under Title II of the Act and/or Medicare benefits under title XVIII of the Act continued pending a reconsideration determination of an administrative law judge hearing decision issued after an initial determination has been made that an individual's impairments have ceased, did not exist, or are no longer disabling.
