Second Region

This Order under s.4(2) of the Employment Act, 1990 (Act 9 of 1990) exempts employers of the following categories of workers from the application of the specified provisions of the Employment Act, 1990: casual workers employed for no more than a day (ss. 6, 8(1) and 12(1); non-Seychellois workers employed in Seychelles under an international agreement between Seychelles and another country (the entire Act); casual part-time workers (s.22(2)); public officers other than those in Seychelles People's Defence Force, the Seychelles Police Force, or prison officers (Chapter XII, except s.80(1)(e)); members of the Seychelles People's Defence Force (whole Act); prison officers (whole Act).
