Second Region

This Act amends and extends the Social Welfare Acts, 1981 to 1990, provides for the amalgamation of separate employer's occupational injuries and redundancy contributions with employer's social insurance contributions, and amends and extends the Pensions Act 1990. In particular, this Act provides for new social insurances benefits and payments rates, new child benefits, an amended definition of "qualified child", and contains other provisions relating to family income supplements, carer's allowances, payments after death, minimum payments of unemployment assistance, and pay-related social insurance contributions.
