Abstract/Citation: To amend the Small Business Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) to modify certain provisions related to the forgiveness of loans under the paycheck protection program (PPP), to allow recipients of loan forgiveness under the paycheck protection program to defer payroll taxes, and for other purposes. The PPP was set by the US Federal government help certain business, self-employed workers, sole proprietors, certain non-profit organizations and tribal businesses to ensure they can keep paying their workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
